What to tell a member agency asking what to use
Most pantries do not find software by searching for it. They ask their food bank, or another pantry, or whoever runs their state association's listserv. If that question lands on your desk often enough to be tiring, this page is for handing to whoever asks — not a pitch for you to vouch for something you haven't checked.
What we are asking of you, specifically
Nothing that costs you anything. We are not asking for a partnership agreement, a logo placement, or an endorsement. If a member agency asks what other pantries use, and Laevo fits, tell them so — and tell them just as plainly if it doesn't. The honest answer about your own reporting system is on this site precisely so you don't have to soften anything to recommend it.
If you want to know who mentioned you
Our sign-up page asks, optionally, how a new pantry heard about Laevo. If you'd like a running count of how many of your member agencies signed up mentioning your name, write to hello@laevo.us and ask — this is a small enough product that a person can just look and tell you, rather than a self-serve dashboard we'd have to build and maintain.
Where Laevo fits, and where it does not
- Fits well: a single agency tracking its own households, shelf, and volunteers, that files its own TEFAP, CSFP, state, or your own partner-agency report.
- Fits with a caveat: a network of a few agencies under one umbrella — Laevo's Network plan rolls up reporting across locations, but each location's day-to-day use is still separate logins and separate decisions, not one shared client record.
- Does not fit: a network that requires real-time, cross-agency client sharing — several agencies seeing one shared household record as they enter it. That is what Oasis Insight is built for, and Laevo does not do it. If that is a requirement of your network agreement, say so plainly when a member agency asks, because Laevo alongside a requirement like that means double entry, not a replacement.
