For the sign-in table
Checking somebody in, in four steps
Print this and keep it at the window. It is written for the first Saturday, not for someone who has already used Laevo a dozen times — if you already know this, you do not need it taped up anymore.
1. Open the Window tab
It is the second tab along the bottom. It asks: "Who is at the window?"
2. Type a few letters of their name
A first name, a last name, a phone number, or the code on their card — any of them work, and three letters is usually enough. Tap Look them up.
3. Tap their name, then "Record a visit"
If more than one name comes up, check the household size and phone number to be sure you have the right one. One tap records the visit — there is nothing else to fill in.
Can't find them?
The search screen will offer Add this household right there. It is one screen: a name, and anything else can wait. Do not make someone stand at the window while you fill in details that are not needed today.
4. That's it
You do not need to save, submit again, or check anything else. The visit is recorded the moment you tap the button.
If the page won't load at all
Keep serving people — write a name and a count on paper. Full instructions, and how to catch the paper records back up once you're back online, are on the status page. That page is also worth printing, once, ahead of time.
If you are setting this up for the first time
This card assumes the pantry is already running in Laevo — shelf items added, neighbors either imported or ready to be added at the window. If that has not happened yet, that is an admin's job, not a volunteer's, and it lives on the Today screen when an admin signs in.
