Is Laevo working right now?
We do not run a dashboard with a green checkmark on it, because a dashboard we do not have the staff to watch overnight is a promise we cannot keep. Here is the honest version instead: what we know right now, and — more importantly — exactly what to do at the window if the page will not load, so a distribution never actually stops because of us.
Nothing to report
As far as we know, everything is working. If your own pantry is having trouble, that is worth writing to us about even if this line says otherwise — we may not know yet.
If the page will not load, right now, mid-Saturday
This is written to be printed and taped up near the sign-in table. Nobody should have to remember it from a guide they read once.
- Keep serving people. Write down a name and a count on paper — the back of anything works. A slow afternoon of paper is a completely ordinary thing for a volunteer-run pantry to have; it is not a crisis.
- Check whether it is your connection or Laevo's: try one other website on the same phone or tablet. If nothing loads anywhere, it is the wifi or the signal, not us.
- If other sites load fine but Laevo does not, write to hello@laevo.us from your phone once you have a minute — not instead of serving people, after. Say roughly when it stopped working.
- When it is back, enter the paper records from today. There is nothing in Laevo that requires visits to be logged the moment they happen — same-day is fine, and next-day is fine too.
What "support" actually means, by plan
All of it is email, answered by a person who works on Laevo, not a ticket queue. The difference between plans is how fast, not whether a human answers.
- Community — usually within a day, including weekends, because there is one person reading this inbox and they do actually check it on Saturday.
- Standard — same day, on weekdays.
- Network — same day, weekends included.
No plan includes a staffed phone line today. If that ever changes, this page — and the pricing page — will say so by name, with a real number, not a promise to add one later.
